DRMare M4V Converter Review

One of the first things we do check out for when picking up software apps is the file size. Yeah, it may not matter to most people, but it does matter to us; this software is about 48MB in size, which we consider as quite lightweight. That apart, the installation process of this app didn’t require any special attention; in a few seconds, the app was successfully installed on our test PC.

Again, the interface of this app is straightforward with a dark background. Personally, I don’t fancy dark backgrounds/interfaces, and there is no option to change the interface style or background. That apart, this app automatically load your iTunes library to import the files you have there. However, you can still easily drag and drop video files saved on your PC local drive(s) on this app’s interface and start converting them immediately.

There are quite a bunch of tools available on this app; a video edit button is also available so you can retouch the video(s) a bit before the actual conversion. DRMare M4V Converter runs its processes quite fast and efficiently. Another interesting part of this software app is its vast support for tons of input/output formats.

I have dealt with a lot of software apps and this particular app – DRMare M4V Converter is one of the most intuitive and easy-to-use ones I’ve handled. Previously, I have reviewed the AudFree DRM Audio Converter for Windows PC users; it is similar to this one, but, it only works for removing DRM from iTunes audio, as well as converting them to various formats.

Pros:

  • Intuitive and lightweight interface
  • Fast in processing
  • Includes handy video editing tools
  • Drag and drop support
  • Lifetime support and updates

Cons:

  • Does not allow skin/interface customization
  • The free version is widely limited
  • It is impossible to pause or stop an ongoing conversion task

By default, your video(s) will losslessly convert to MP4; however, you can change this format and set it to any one of your choices. Define a storage directory

It is important to choose a user-defined directory where the converted videos will be saved. This will make it easier for you to locate the videos on your PC and use them for whatever reason you wished for.

Convert your file(s)

convert Dopi Techologies

Once the output profile and storage directory is defined, good on to convert your videos and start enjoying them on various media players that support your chosen output format. However, there is no explicit real-time window that shows you the progress of an ongoing task, and you cannot pause or stop an ongoing process.

After conversion, you can view the converted files on a dedicated tab.

Dopitech’s verdict

This application is apparently intuitive and straightforward to use. It works perfectly for the purpose it is meant to serve, and the processes run quite faster. We recommend this app as the current best option for removing DRM protection from iTunes video files, and it is also a reliable video converter software for PC users.
