iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe Review; all-in-one video converter

Video conversion/downloading is something I do often and I have come across quite a lot of tools which claimed to be perfect for this task but the iMedia Converter got me well and i wish to review it here.

This video management tool is developed by iSkysoft; iMedia is a freemium video management tool which can be used to download online videos from streaming sites and convert videos without much stress. It also lets you transfer files from your PC to your mobile device, camcorder, or a removable storage device. More so, you can even burn DVDs, record and edit videos at one time using the awesome video management tool.

This article is a straight-forward review of iSkysoft’s iMedia Converter Deluxe and will also serve as a guide to anyone trying out the software for the very first time.

The Review

I have been using the old version of this software for about 2 years now. It has been serving me well so i didn’t bother to upgrade to the newer versions but this version caught my attention after I glanced through its features and functions.

iMedia Converter Deluxe is absolutely a great video management tool, suitable for both personal users and business users. All the functions packed by this software app works perfectly and its processing speed is quite applauding.

One of my best features of this software is the VR converter, with which i was able to make my videos play seamlessly on Virtual Reality gadgets. The file transfer function transfers files at a very fast speed.

In all, this is a software i can confidently recommend to anyone in search of a video converter or video management tool.

How to use iSkysoft video converter

First, you’d have to download the software from the company’s official website or simply copy and paste this URL into your browser’s address bar – http://download.iskysoft.com/video-converter-ultimate-win_full670.exe

After downloading the software, run the .exe file to install it on your PC. During the installation process, you can set your preferences or engage the services of pro computer operator.

Once the software is installed on your PC, you can now start exploring it. Below are guides on how to use/exploit the function of this video management tool.

As a video/audio converter

Step One: Add/import the video/audio file(s)

Launch the software and click on the “Add Files” button. If you want to add a folder or add files from a device/camcorder, then you should click on the drop-down icon beside the “Add Files” button. Also, you can drag and drop the video files in the program window.

Step Two: Select the Output format

Select your desired output format for the video. iMedia Converter Deluxe packs over 150 output format which you can choose from. It also supports device conversion, i.e; it allows you to convert videos that will play efficiently on any device type. Supported devices include; all Apple products, PSP games, Android devices, Windows mobile, Smart TV’s and even Nokia S40 feature devices. Also, this software lets you convert videos compatible with YouTube, Vimeo, and Facebook.

Video output formats include; MP4, MOV, VOB, FLV, AVI, M4V, XViD, OGV, etc. The video(s) will be converted with the original resolution by default (you can change the resolution if you wish). Also, this converter lets you tweak your video by adjusting the frame rate, encoder, bitrate, etc. for better visual performance.

Step Three: Perform quick edit to the video if you wish

To achieve this, click on the small editing icons below the preview window of each video. The editing functions include; adjusting the sound, increasing brightness, adding effects, subtitles or watermark, and other cool stuff as you wish.

Step Four: Choose the output file location and convert your videos!

By default, your converted videos are saved in this folder – C:\iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe\Converted. So, if you wish to select another location for your converted videos; click on the drop-down button beside the default save location and select your desired folder.

Start converting your videos by clicking the “Convert All” at the bottom of the program window. For single video, click the “Convert” button beside the video file.

Note: You should only activate the “Merge All Videos” option if you want to combine several videos to become a single video file.

As a video downloader

This video conversion tool can also serve as a video downloader; it lets you download videos from streaming sites. The steps below explain how you can download online videos using this tool.

1. Launch the program and click on the “Download” option
2. Further click on “Paste URL” and insert the URL of the video you wish to download.
3. Choose your desired output format and then hit the download at the bottom of the program window.

You can as well choose to use the screen recorder function to record videos/other activities on your PC screen.

Use as a DVD Burner

Another function of this video tool is the DVD Burning function.

1. Launch the software and click on burn
2. add the video files you wish to  burn to a DVD
3. if you wish to add effects, the option is available.
4. Click the “Burn” button.

As a file transfer medium

Aren’t you excited? iMedia Converter also serves as a file transfer medium. This means you can use this tool to easily transfer the converted video files from your PC to your iOS device, Android device or even to an External Hard Drive/USB.

Simply launch the software and click on “transfer”, then you are good to go.

iMedia Converter Deluxe Misc Functions

Lastly, this awesome software comes with additional useful functions, such as – GIF Maker, Fix Video Metadata, VR Converter and on-screen recording function.

iMedia Converter Deluxe is available for both Windows PC users and Mac users, it has a free and paid version. The free version is limited to a lot of goodies but can still serve well for video conversion and online video download.
