AudFree DRM Audio Converter for Windows Review
My team here at Dopitech got to know about this software not too long from now and we decided to check it out immediately. Luckily, I was the exact person that go to use the app and here’s my distinct review for the AudFree DRM Audio Converter for Windows. It is a great app, honestly; one of the simplest I have handled over a while now.
This software comes with a light, intuitive interface from where you can quickly navigate and explore the whole features it comes with. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to play around much with the free (trail) version before upgrading to the pro version. On the pro version, I was able to access iTunes and get out all the DRM protected audio files in an easy manner. There wasn’t any traditional process I had to undergo for this to happen, it was smooth and straightforward.
AudFree has made this app to serve for a specific purpose which is to legally remove DRM from iTunes and Apple Music files while converting them to various support popular audio formats. Thus, the application didn’t feature any support which doesn’t work for this purpose. This made the AudFree DRM Audio Converter come with a streamlined interface that is very easy to understand.
Also, you can import local audio files into this app and convert them to another support audio format losslessly. I’ll provide a How-To guide below so you can make use of this app efficiently for its said purpose. In all, this app works perfectly for the said purpose and is very easy to use, thanks to the light, intuitive interface.
The pricing of this software is $39.95 for a single user lifetime license and $59.95 for 2-5 users, lifetime access.

How to remove DRM protection on iTunes and Apple Music files

First Step: Launch the software on PC
After downloading the app, click on the .exe file and following subsequent pop-up instructions to install it on your Windows PC. Once the installation is complete, launch the app. Automatically, iTunes will launch with this app so you can start removing DRM protection immediately.
Second Step: Add your files
There are two buttons available at the bottom left side of this app’s window; the first button allows you to load files from iTunes while the other lets you import local files saved on your PC HDD or removable storage drives. Also, you can drag and drop files on the app’s interface, it does support that.
However, for DRM-ed audio files, you have to download the files to your PC and grant the required permissions. This applies to Apple Music and Audible Audiobooks.
Third Step: Configure output settings
When you have loaded your audio files from any of the supported sources, next is to set an output format, then, configure some parameters. Supported output formats are MP3, M4A, M4B, WAV, FLAC, and AAC; choose a format you want for your file(s). To choose a format, click on the first icon on the bottom right side. You can configure audio parameters; but, if you don’t know much about audio parameters, it is better to leave the settings at default. Tick the “Keep Lossless Quality,” keep preset at “High Quality” and hit the “Ok” button.
Interestingly, you can adjust the volume, speed, and pitch of your audios by clicking on the effects icon (it is the first icon you’ll see on the row of your file name). Also, you can edit the tags of your audio file and even split them if you wish; click on the edit button for this action. While on the edit pop-up menu, you can quickly navigate to other files by clicking the All these buttons are indicated in the screenshot above and below.
Final Step: Convert your files
After customizing the settings of your files, choose an output folder where the converted files will be saved on PC. Then, go ahead and click on the “Convert” button; it is the biggest oval button you’ll see on the bottom area of this app’s interface.
Here’s our verdict. AudFree DRM Audio Converter for Windows is an intuitive app that works perfectly for removing DRM protection from iTunes and Apple Music files as well as helps for converting locals audios into other formats.
