I got to know about this software some months back. But then, I didn’t really succumb to use it immediately as I already have a working free backup software. Fast-forward towards the ending of November I had to launch this tool and it seems like I was missing out all this while; not because my previous backup software was not good, but this one appears more intuitive and simpler than the former. This free PC backup software is very useful & effective for the purpose which it is meant to serve.

With the MiniTool ShadowMaker I made a deliberate backup to ascertain how fast and effective it was; well, it was quite fast. Also, I was able to synchronize my local folders easily with this tool. There are other functions I was able to do with the ShadowMaker 3.0 which I’d be sharing how i did them on this article.

How to backup data with Minitool ShadowMaker Pro 3.0

Launch the software

Download Minitool ShadowMaker Pro 3.0, install it on your Windows PC and then launch it to start using immediately. Right on the software window, click on “set a backup” or toggle to the “backup” module.

Create your backup instantly

First, choose the disk/partition, file or folder you wish to backup, afterward, select a destination folder or drive.

Note: the destination folder or drive must be an external storage device; ShadowMaker 3.0 won’t allow you to save backup files on the same drive or folder where the initial file has been.

After you have defined a destination folder, click on the “Back up now” button which is at the bottom of the software window. However, you can manage how your backup should save or run using the various options available at the bottom area of the software window.

If you did all i said above, then, simply sit back and wait for the backup to complete. However, you can view the real-time process of how fast/slow the ShadowMaker Pro 3.0 is running you backup by toggling to the “manage” module.

Just in the same simple steps as you would run a backup, that’s actually how you’d also restore a backup with this tool.
